Advancing Connected Care
At Baxter we are working in close collaboration with caregivers, putting our deep expertise to work, to build digital health solutions that improve the efficiency and quality of care in the hospital and at home. We believe digital health solutions will unlock new ways to deliver on our mission to save and sustain lives.
With approximately 30% of all the world's data volume now being generated by the healthcare industry, Baxter have been exploring how digital health technologies can advance connected care, improve outcomes and increase efficiency in healthcare.
In June 2023, Baxter published a paper (available here), to explore how the seamless integration of new technology into a hospital’s existing infrastructure can deliver vital information and clinical insights directly to care teams when and where they need it.
Baxter is also committed to collaborating with healthcare professionals to consider how connected care can and should evolve. With technology investment often cited as a key measure to help address the challenge of the backlog facing the NHS and the increased focus on improving capacity and efficiency in the NHS, a roundtable was recently held to consider how enhanced communication systems can be implemented to support the NHS recovery. Findings from the roundtable can be found here.
