Helping people live independent lives

Enabling people to continue to lead independent lives is an important foundation of the work we undertake at Baxter.

Canine Partners our Charity of the Year for 2018 and 2019 helps to transform the lives of people with physical disabilities by partnering them with specially trained assistance dogs. These amazing dogs enable greater independence and quality of life for their partners. They provide security, companionship, and practical support. Importantly they also bring additional benefits linked to self-esteem, confidence and mental health.

Though employee donations and fundraising Baxter employees have so far raised over £5,000 for the charity which has paid for “Baxter” the puppy’s advanced training. He was recently paired with his partner and they are starting the beginning of their partnership together. A team from our head office had the pleasure to volunteer at the latest graduation ceremony, celebrating the success of recent partnerships.
