Systems to manage our environmental impacts and health and safety risks are the cornerstone of improved EHS performance at Baxter. Our management systems are scrutinised against our own internal standards, and also against the international standards ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 are both international standards whereby a company can have its environmental and its health and safety work respectively, certified by independent experts

ISO 14001 helps us to deliver improved environmental performance.  By using more efficient production methods, our use of energy, raw materials and natural resources has been reduced.

At all UK sites we identify our environmental aspects, and manage them in accordance with internal standards, external standards and legislative requirements.

Our commitment to improving environmental performance is demonstrated by our success in achieving ISO 14001 certification at the Thetford manufacturing site in Norfolk, and at our distribution centre in Northampton.
